It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new.
But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful.
There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

  4. One of my most favorite pieces of classical music for ever - they even played it in my English grammar school (equivalent of high school here) when we gathered in the gym for meetings etc.
It always amazed me that he composed such awesome music in the 16th century - and for four consecutive monarchs, Henry VIII, Edward VI, Queen Mary, and Queen Elizabeth I.

Thanks Candice for sharing this beautiful Vaughan Williams rendition from Gloucester Cathedral - it is certainly the most beautiful of all 'Fantasia on a Theme' recordings

Hugs on a very cold, icy morning.

  6. Mary, they played Nimrod every morning at our Junior school. Isn't it wonderful how a piece of music has the power to transport you to another time and place.
