I might possibly go out and buy me a present. And buy some cake ... and have it too.
It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new.
But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful.
There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read."

Best wishes for this happy birthday, and many happy ones to come.
ReplyDeleteAs for Florida, I can't say that the architecture is that interesting (see your post below), but the weather on the west coast south of Tampa is more than decent nine months of the year. More than decent = I can walk 2 miles outside in comfort.
And it is definitely little white dog country, though our cat hasn't figured that out yet.
Come on down.

Norman, are we besties or are you just flirting ? xo
ReplyDeleteCarol .. There are areas that I love, St Augustine and over on the Gulf Coast.
But the truth is .. there is a wee grandbaby that I would never get to see, I have had so much sudden and shocking change in the past couple of years, that I am just now starting to settle in and feel at home.
I am no longer afraid of the dark.
I sort of feel like burrowing in and staying quiet and try relaxing.
Happy Birthday Candice! That cake in the photo looks exquisite!
