It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new.
But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful.
There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read."

Relax

You never know who or what you will find out on the lanai.
Right after I moved in here, a bright green snake slithered out of the grass and under the door and onto the lanai.
I had a hard time getting it to leave.
I was scared and so was the snake.
The door hurt the snake but it managed to escape alive.
The cats are probably mentally affected by it...
Although with most cats, they all act a little mentally affected.

I think it affected me too...I feel guilty for hurting a snake.
That says it all.

I have done nothing so far , aside from making my bed.
I think this is a sign of the way the day will go.
That's ok.....busy times are ahead, I will take advantage of the quiet times.

How about you? Busy weekend or lazy relaxed?
Whichever....Enjoy!

  1. Lazy relaxed sounds good to me, I am recovering from surgery so I am told to rest and to walk. I would feel sad hurting a snake too.

  2. I have an 8 year old cat staying with me for 2 months while her owners renovate their house, as it was badly damaged. She has settled in well, but I am quiet and live alone, and she seems a bit bored. any ideas how to entertain her? she is an indoor cat.

    1. Anony...how are things with your cat sitting?
I was just watching my cats and I am here, the 3 of them are here and everyone is napping or looking out at the forest...they are just hanging out.
So I expect that is what your little visitor is doing also.
I hope you read this and reply with a catsitting update!
      :)

  3. My cats have a variety of toys to choose from...the little balls covered with yarn are good and any annoying squeaky rubber toy :)
They will play with just about anything, a sock tied in a knot for example.
Merlin loves a small stuffed mouse with a long tail.
Just but this and that and see what appeals..
They don't really mind quiet..mine will end up being in the same room with me but they don't behave like dogs do,needy for tension.
Mine do get a good amount of attention though :)
