It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new.
But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful.
There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

"Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend.
Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read."

Taking a Walk

Its not too warm and the skies are filled with big fat puffy clouds that will probably bring a lot of rain tonight.
Today I took advantage of the peace and quiet and tolerable temperatures and walked down the street, stopping to admire the herons catching fish in the lake.
Then the other creature that lives in...on...around the lake came out to catch some dinner.
I was glad there were no brainless people letting the dogs run lose and most cats have better sense.
Yes, the cats hunt and play and nap in the woods and lawns behind my house.
No Alligators Allowed.
********I just heard on the news that it is Alligator Mating Season *********
Beware*
