It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new.
But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful.
There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read."

Today was a Treat !

Even with barely any sleep and waking up at 5 am, the day has gone very well. Especially the part where my husband and Pup and I were taking a walk, running errands, keeping an appointment, when I heard someone say my name. Now , this doesn't happen here .. ever.
I turned around and there was the lovely ( beautiful) Miss Celia from Falling Off A High Heeled Life !
What a treat ! Pup was happy to meet new people but reluctant to have his photo taken. Somehow, he seems to think it means you get to keep him. So he clings. A 56 pound dog clinging to your leg is not pretty, he is ashamed afterwards but will do it again if anyone says, "Pup, come on, let's take a walk !" ... he says "No Thank you" and sits on my foot.
It is a very warm and sunny day with a lovely breeze to keep everyone from melting. The parks are packed with people, picnics, babies playing, children , lovers, pups, all very happy ..
I think tonight, if I am still awake by dark, I will be ready to take a little walk .. or just go to bed.

  1. What a fun surprise. I feel quite certain I would recognize you were I walking down the same street. How many gorgeous girls with their chocolate poodles can there be?
