It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new.
But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful.
There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

Happy New Year

I am sending out a short note to say Hello, Happy New Year and Meet  my new iPad.
The holidays have been sad/happy for me.
I miss some people and I am alone all the time. But things could be worse so no whining .
I lost a ring that means a lot to me so tomorrow I will again, search for it.
Then I will clean house ... LOL

My New Years celebrations have gone from teenager babysitting for baby brother while mom and dad went to a party... to young cuties in San Francisco dancing in the street down where the gay impersonator shows let out and wild looking men/women kissed and danced in the street. ..to taking the dog for a walk on the Upper East Side NYC with my new husband...standing in the window with my baby in my arms and my little girl asking for Champagne in a NJ hi rise ...to sitting by a fire toasting each others in our first house .... To eventually dancing in the street with everyone in Buenos Aires.

I look forward to this New Year and I wonder where the next year finds me.

  1. Dearest Candice,
Yes, we too have been at different places in the world on New Year's Eve... Only memories now!
But it certainly has shaped and influenced us to what we are today.
Let's hope you find your ring soon!
I still have to find my CC belt... I know that I placed it somewhere different when thinking before a trip, when something would happen to us, someone might take all my belts and box them together without realizing this is a real Coco Chanel one! But the old mind forgets where we put it next... hate that and it might mean we have to empty our closets entirely for finding it back!
    Wishing you good luck.
Hope your days are not as dark and dreary as ours here. Too much rain and I hate winter time and when it is like this it is even worse. Not cold but dark and dreary.
    Hugs,
    Mariette
