My Mom died quietly and peacefully without waking up.
Of all the things and people in the world , my mother was always there for me.. Along with my husband.
She had me when she was very young, losing my father in an accident shortly before my birth. So we two went out into the world together.
She found happiness and heartache but she always had the love of her children and granddaughter.
My husband cared for her too.
There is no describing the feeling of loss.
God bless her .

It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new.
But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful.
There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

My heart goes out to you. I lost my mom in November (and my dad three weeks earlier). Still can't accept it. I try to remember that they went they way they wanted: very peacefully, after a long, healthy, happy life. It's what we all wish, but we don't really want that moment to come. Even though, especially as loved ones get old, we know it's coming.
ReplyDeleteLet yourself revel in your love for her. My words can't make you feel better. I hope time will.

I have been away, but was saddened for you to read that you had lost your dear mother. I am pleased that you were with her, but what a distressing thing it was that she lost your father whilst she was pregnant with you. I suspect that you brought her lots of love and helped her through what must have been a difficult period. I am not surprised that you were both very close to each other. May your memories help you at this difficult time.
ReplyDeleteSo very sorry about your mom's death, Candice. I'm thinking of you often in this difficult time, and hope you are getting comfort from your daughter and your kitties. Please take care of yourself.

I.
It is Friday, May 6 and I know this will be a painful mother's day for you having just lost your mom. I remember the first year after my mom died and I felt lost and lonely. I have no children so I was at a loss for what to do. One of my dearest friends just lost her mom as well and she is feeling the same sadness that I am sure you are feeling. I just wanted to let you know that you have my deepest sympathy, however, enjoy your children and grandchildren, I hope they ease some of your pain.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you today, hoping that sweet memories of your Mother be a comfort to you amid the sadness.
ReplyDeleteAllegra
