Upon arrival to our new home, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new.
But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful.
There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read."

Tate - Such a beauty, and those soulful eyes <3

Yes, he knew how to get anything he wanted with just one look :)
ReplyDeleteHis eyes were amber color .. he was gorgeous.
What an elegant gentleman.
ReplyDeleteI know how you miss him. I missed Pastis when he was in surgery. I dread the day when he must join Tate.

cigale, a friend I have who has several dogs said that while her heart breaks when one of her dogs dies, it is helped with having the others there who still need love and attention. Maybe that is a good reason to get a dog or cat now ... I have Minette who is only 1 year old .. I rescued Merlin who is 11. I know he won't live a very long time with me but I wanted him to have the best years he has left. Then I will still have Minette ( god willing )
ReplyDeleteOur dog had several similar important responsibilities. She conducted regular pillow inspection for both the sofa and the master bedroom. She checked that bed was still appropriately comfy each time the bed linens were changed. And when it came to roasting chicken, she was more accurate than any timer or recipe. When she went over to lie down in front of the oven, we knew the chicken was done. Without her, our household is severely understaffed and not as well managed as it should be. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping to find such an inspector for my home and to keep an eye on the cats. I am sorry your household has lost such a valuable member. I know ... sigh ~
DeleteAnony, I have read your comment a couple of times today .. it is so touching, sweet and loving and with a smile. I completely understand how you feel ... "sigh ..". Hugs .
