Stop poaching, Save the Elephants
Can you imagine a world without Elephants ? How horrible would that be ? How sad.
- NotesFromAbroad
- My husband and I , with our dog, Tate, moved to Buenos Aires, 6 years ago. Life has not been the same since ~
It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new.
But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful.
There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

I read the lengthy article in today's New York Times. It's a terrible large slaughter going on for the tusks And how awful that we subsidize the army who is also part of the poaching.
I can't imagine the kind of people that would have anything to do with poaching...

Not only do the elephants with their magnificient tusks suffer but their young as well. Many of the babies are left on their own to try and survive. There is a wonderful organization "The David Sheldrick Foundation" that rescues orphan elephants, saves them and rehabilitates them back to the wild. I have my own elephant named SHIMBA.
