It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new.
But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful.
There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read."

We took a walk today ....

Sometimes I imagine it might be easier on my broken heart to live in a different neighborhood. With different rooms where no sweet ghost drifts through.
Away from the favorite spots where we walked, played and spent the last 4 years.
But we love our neighbors and we love this apartment.
These days we have been spending time just wandering.
Neither of us has much ambition right now to do more than get out in the fresh air which is also warmer.
There are signs of Spring everywhere, the tree outside the window has a gazillion buds that are just ready to unfurl those fresh green leaves.
Today we walked away from the house, away from the parks, towards the neighborhood where the French Embassy is located.
Beautiful buildings, wonderful shops and where we play the game of What If ...
What if we lived in this neighborhood.
We pick out buildings we would like and try to guess how much they are.
I think we might be able to afford a one room apt .. in that neighborhood.
Then we imagine all the things that might not be as good as they are where we live now.
So we decided that we will stay where we are for now.
