It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new.
But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful.
There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read."

Lazy Day Sunday

I got dressed to leave the house quite late today. I did nothing in a hurry. We took Pup for a walk .. we meandered through the parks .. strolled past the reservoir. My husband and I chattering away to each other, Pup sniffing his way along the park paths.
Off here and there, that nose never stops working.
Finally ending up at the cafe where we sat in the shade ( it is still warm and sunny) and Pup lay in the shade.
It was a perfect Lazy Sunday.
We are waiting for the pizza to be delivered now.
There are signs on the buildings where the protestors marched ( spray painted and vandalized) and there are still barriers to those streets.
Obviously not as peaceful a Sunday for some as it was for us.
There are vague plans for the week ahead .. ideas bouncing around in my head .. Shopping, Museums and perhaps the Flea Market .. Hopefully with the arrival of cooler Fall weather.
