It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new.
But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful.
There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read."

Sweet Memories

Our front door.
This is early in the day, the doors are open so the Portero can mop the floors and they will dry quickly.
Across the street was a bakery and an ice cream shop. My husband got to know those people right away... they would see him on the street and give him a big hello. I would ask him who they were, we knew no one yet ! and then he would tell me and we would laugh. His ice cream addiction came in handy when making friends and my need for a hot out of the oven croissant helped.
Such Sweet Memories.

  3. My husband passed away last week just shy of our 42nd anniversary. I've been going through old photos too. Some make me laugh, most make me cry. It's nice to have them even though they are bittersweet right now.

  6. Oh Texas .. I am so so very sorry. Yes, I know, most everything made me cry. I wondered if that was the way I would be .. just crying all the time. It gets better .. you will look at the photos and smile one day. Big hugs to you from me.
