It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new.
But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful.
There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

There Is Someone At The Door

Have I mentioned how much I dislike people who don't keep their cats inside  ?

  1. Some kitties want out so badly that I have felt guilty keeping them inside. It's as if their spirits are from the wind and they dream of others things beyond the walls. Some are so content. So different, just like people.

  2. I personally have had cats all my life. The ones who died of old age were more than those who were run over by cars or just disappeared and never seen again.

Even if I lived out in the woods, there are cat eating creatures lol
Cats are domesticated, they need to be safe in a house ...like its humans are.

  3. The other night a beautiful grey cat came to the door .. with bloody gashes on both thighs.

I find this world we live in does not have care for small creatures and it is our responsibility to keep them safe. Regardless of what we think they want...

  4. Agree with you, 100 per cent. We live in the desert and I'm amazed at the number of cats and small dogs that people say got out and go missing. There are owls, hawks, coyote and bobcats here. We have to protect our creatures.

  5. Last night we had an overnight guest .. the little grey cat with the terrible scars, She had better be careful, she might end up having a new mama ....

  6. I’ve had cats for 49 years now and really dislike those people too. I share a cat with my son now I live with him; he rescued it from someone who made it live outdoors all the time and then moved.

  7. Hi Carol, from Scotland :)
I have cats who come to my door each afternoon, I sit outside on the grass and pet them. They purr like crazy and only one is spooky- that would be the cat in the photo. He is curious but cautious.
    I love his face !!!
