It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new.
But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful.
There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read."

Look Into My Eyes

I have nothing to say really. Just look at that face, those eyes .. hope they don't become extinct.
Wish I could pet one or hold one in my lap and have it look at me like that :)

I am surrounded by sound, most of it loud and unpleasant.
Hammering,  sawing, large things falling , men yelling, trucks moving slowly with little beeping sounds and big motor sounds.
3 cats who are disgruntled by the whole thing, especially the part with men on ladders draping the lanai in blue plastic .. that really freaked out Honey !
She came upstairs and twitched for at least half an hour !
Minette is watching .. keeping an eye on the intruders.
Merlin went to my room and is asleep on the bed ... he is benefitting from being hard of hearing.

  1. There are a few benefits of being nearly deaf. I lived at my current house for nearly a year before I realized it was a noisy street. Hang tight kitties...it'll be over soon. ♥

  2. I am in a silent house .. cats sleeping, workers eating lunch .. I could almost go back to bed. But you know the minute my head hits a pillow, everything will start up again at full volume.

  3. I've often wondered at how and why cats can be such loving beings to humans. Looks like it happens on the larger scale, too.

  4. During expo 74 in Spokane Washington I volunteered in the Vanishing Species exhibit - fed baby cougars with a bottle, diapered baby monkeys, petted a baby panther and got bit by a baby squirrel - no apparent reason.
