It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new.
But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful.
There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read."

SNAFU

I did a little tweaking to the blog. It needed a few things , I wasn't trying to be fancy.
But that little tweak .. removed, changed and screwed up the layout of the blog so much that I have been working on it for hours, for days and nights and it is barely up and running.

The list of blogs that I follow ... I have it, it just won't show it.
It is a mess and I end up spending way too much time sitting here and trying to get back to normal.
Perhaps that is never possible, in any way, in life. Certainly not seeming possible on Blogger.

So... I am too irritated with it now and I want to go be lazy with the cats.
They are teaching me some new lazy tricks. . . I will tell you about them later.

so that is that . I am reading a very creepy atmospheric British Murder Mystery on my Kindle ..
I am breaking all the rules and petting feeding and watering the cat that comes to my door.
The first time was because it is not up to me to not feed a cat or watch it starve because of some rule that someone made .. and I found out it lives a few doors away .. so all is fine with the cat story.

Mine are lazy and sweet and affectionate and Honey is in here with me because Honey is part dog, she goes where mama goes.
She is also the size of a dog .. even bigger than some.
But she is still sweet and has the voice / meow of a tiny little cat ...

I tried to weigh her but she was sliding out of my arms and crying and breaking my back.
We will try again another day .. over at the truck place where they weigh cargo .
lol

Minette, a normal sized young cat ... Honey , an extra large sized young cat ..

Ta ta for now ~

  1. Well, if you are talking about your Blog List I am seeing it - a list of 16. Congratulations if you are the one who got it back. I don't think I will ever be a blogger - don't have the perseverance for it. Glad to know the cat actually has a home.

  4. My tuxedo cat, Culvey (so named because we found him abandoned in a culvert) probably weighs the same as your Honey. He's a ten-year-old neutered indoor cat whose only pleasure is eating. He has free access to his dry food and I'm not about to change that because I don't want to hear the yowling it would create. :)

  5. Texas, I totally get it . Honey is huge and heavy but she has the meow of a tiny girl cat.
I think Minette is louder .. although she almost never meows.
Now Merlin, my love :) is part Siamese so he not only meows but he grumbles .. like an old man <3

  6. TIPS FOR WEIGHING A CAT, DOG, CHILD OR ANY OTHER WIGGLY CREATURE:
    1. Stand on the scale yourself and note your weight
    2. Hold creature in your arms and step on scale.
    3. Note your combined weight, subtract YOUR weight et voila!

FYI, if you are not able to see the scale with they wiggly creature in your arms, request assistance and ask someone to read the scale for you.

  7. LOL Charlotte Totally Smiling Here !!
If I hold her while wobbly standing on the scale, I cannot see my feet/the weight.
I have done that before with various cats and babies but Honey is huge, slippery and gets annoyed when picked up. I think she is self conscious of her size LOL
    But thank you anyway ...

  8. I held her while wobbling on the scale and trying not to be ripped to shreds and make her hate me all at the same time.
I think she weighs 10 lbs maybe a little more. I held her, I think she definitely weighs more.
