It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new.
But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful.
There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read."

Sights and Sounds

Some of my favorite things about living Up North instead of here, Down South...
A favorite place to take long walks
My neighbors rescue horse .. he and I were good friends ( the horse and I)
This being the typical road from here to there, not a 4/6 lane  highway.
I never thought I would miss the sight of a barn.
But then I start to miss other sights in other worlds..
Ahhh... yes .. another world indeed.

  1. Don't get too homesick for NY yet. I live a few hours from Chatham in Central NY. SNOW is predicted!

  2. YUP! Monday we will have rain and snow showers...high in the 40's and dropping to the 30's. Probably won't be sticking to the ground but dreading the thought of snow in the air! On a positive note..the grass is brilliant green and the trees are really filling out now. Spring flowers are blooming! Soon it will be time to plant the vegetable garden!

I know all too well about feeling homesick, I carry my memories inside my heart and head every single day.
    What a gorgeous horse-friend you had :)
