I am packing.
I am waiting to hear how a baby who just had a huge surgery is doing.
I am packing and wondering how will I manage .
I am not needing advice at the moment, though, thank you .
I do need boxes though ..
A Hug would be nice ..
It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new.
But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful.
There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

Huge but gentle bear hugs - hope baby is doing fine by now.
ReplyDeleteMary OXOXOXO
The news could have been better but it was not horrible. Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteHoping baby is doing well on the road to recovery. Hugs to you, all will be well. Once that drive is over, nothing but blue skies for you! :) Good luck packing. I hate packing but unpacking is fun....putting all the stuff in its rightful spot is always a treat! :)
ReplyDeleteRight now I am hung up on the idea of modern glass highrise living. oy !
ReplyDeleteI have been packing too....but a different kind of packing....
ReplyDeleteI hope you are not talking about your grandson, with the dislocated collar bone?
We are on the road in the am....wish me luck!
Cheers!
Linda :o)
I've been thinking of the baby too.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with all the packing, which is daunting at the best of times.
A modern highrise has it's plus points, character not being one of them.
I would give up character for ease though. But that is just me.
You will find the perfect place for you, for Minette and Merlin, and all your beautiful belongings, hopefully soon after you drive south, so you can settle in and make a new life for yourself. All will be well.
Hope the baby recovers quickly.
ReplyDeletePacking is such a chore. Did you find a god mover?
Sending you a big hug today.
You will do well. I hope you will write about this adventure. If you are a meat eater, be sure to stop and eat at an authentic barbeque place in South Carolina. North Carolina has good barbeque, too - but South Carolina style is sublime.
ReplyDeleteI am not a meat eater, but I grew up in North Carolina and there are plenty of good southern dishes that I love. Thank you,I will write about it. :)
ReplyDeletePrayers, good thoughts, fingers and toes crossed for a safe journey to your new home!

Love the modern glass high rise living idea. No snow! Views to forever and lock and leave living. woot.
ReplyDeletewoot ! :)
ReplyDeleteSince I can't send boxes I'm sending hugs for you and the precious baby.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much.
ReplyDeleteI just made the huge mistake of looking at real estate ... here . LOL
You know, charming country homes in NY State, woods, rivers, New England charm ... aaggghhhh~
All best wishes and healing energy for that sweet baby and his family. I can't even imagine the worry and terror! Warm hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about New England/Hudson Valley charm. I couldn't live anywhere else, I don't think. Packing , for me at least, is total torture and I sincerely hope that I never have to do it again.

Franky, if I found a house up here that was small enough to afford to live here, not a huge house with 100 trees all wanting to fall down and a bad energy sucking money pit ... I would probably stay.
ReplyDeleteI just saw a couple of charming tiny houses, which is all I need, the cats and I don't take up a lot of room.
I am at home in this area ..
Florida would mean a few things that are unpleasant ( avoiding the sun for one ) and if I were not living here, I would live in BA. So ..... there we have it.
I made cheese monkey bread and garlic potato soup is bubbling on the stove.
Now someone come eat it.
I keep forgetting to say No ... this is not about my grandson :) Thank you though ..
ReplyDeleteThis is about a friends newborn.
I'm sorry to hear about the surgery. I hope it went well and wish for a quick recovery...sending hugs to you.
ReplyDeleteThen a hug you shall have! Big hug, Candice!
