It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new.
But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful.
There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

A Rainy Day...... by Pup

Mom says she doesn't mind a rainy day, if she didn't have to go out in it.
Dad walks me on rainy days, so Mom can stay home and wait at the door with the towels for me.
I like rainy days. I like the water on the ground, I like the way the mud feels on my feet and it is really fun to shake it off in the kitchen... where Mom is waiting with the towels ... and I like the funny noises she makes when I shake the water off on her too.
Yesterday was a nice day. It was very quiet and Mom is still getting well, so we just sat in the little park. Well, Mom sat, I explored. You never know what you will find in a park .

Look what I found on the way to the Park ! Mom told me to stand still but I couldn't, so I shook her camera. I never did find out his name. Mom said things about my eyes being scratched out and we left. I have to look for that Cat next time we go to the Park.. I will watch out for my eyes.
Mom rested so I did too.
Today it is raining. A lot. Dad walked me. Mom waited with the towel.. even a car got too wet.. I think.. maybe there was no one with a towel.
There were men in trucks who made a lot of noise. They were very wet. No one had a towel.
I hope tomorrow is not wet. I want to go lie down in the park again. Maybe we will get to meet Moms friend and have ice cream. Mom says ice cream is Perfecto when you have a sore throat. My throat is fine but I will taste the ice cream if anyone wants to give me some.
Mom says she will be back tomorrow.

  1. Having a towel is very important.

I am so sorry to hear that you are still not feeling well. I was in Florida earlier in the week, so this is my first day rooting around in the internet and have come to visit. Get better soon, my friend!

  2. I am sorry to hear you are still being "downed" by this throat thing. I hoped it would be over for sure. Stay home and stay warm till the sun comes back....no good getting wet. And yes, a little ice cream is good for the throat, good for the soul.
